Fortunately, wool products are actually very easy to care for, since wool is a self-cleaning fiber that rarely requires washing.
Usually, clothes can simply be freshened up by airing them out. This means it doesn’t need to be washed often. From time to time it may need to take a breather for an hour or so. Hang it up outside or lay it down flat. When the time comes to wash it, a cold hand wash will do. However, if wool products get dirty or stretched, they need to be washed carefully and gently.
Here are a few of our wool care tips:
- Never use whitener on wool items
- In exceptional cases, you can use the program for wool in the washing machine - but we would strongly advise against it, because machine can totally ruin it
- Never dry wool clothes in the washing machine
- Try to store the wool in a dry and ventilated place. You can store items folded in a box, dresser or garment bag. Protect items from direct sunlight and moths
